Plugins FAQs

How do I install the plugin?

Download MrAppManager from the Installation page, open it, go to Plugins and click Install on the plugins you want. You can also download the installer with all three plugins from that same page.

How do I activate the plugin?

Open the plugin, choose License in its menu, enter your serial and click Activate. Or sign in to MrAppManager with your purchase email and click Activate in Plugins, without typing the serial.

On how many computers can I install the plugin?

Each license allows 5 computers. You can see which ones are activated and deactivate installations from within the plugin or from MrAppManager, under Licenses and Machines.

How do I deactivate the plugin on a computer?

From the plugin's own interface, in the license section. Also from MrAppManager, in Machines: click Release on any computer, even one you no longer have access to. Deactivating frees up a seat so you can use it on another machine.

Does it work without an internet connection?

Yes. Once activated, the plugin works offline. It needs an internet connection to activate and deactivate, and when it has one it checks the license on launch, at most once a day. If you released that computer from MrAppManager, it deactivates on that check.

How long is the trial?

14 days with full functionality. Once it expires, you'll need a license to keep using it.

What formats are supported?

VST3, AU and AAX (64-bit) on macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon), and VST3 and AAX (64-bit) on Windows.

Is it compatible with my DAW?

It works with all major DAWs: Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Cubase, Studio One, Reaper, Bitwig, FL Studio, Reason and GarageBand via VST3 or AU (AU on macOS only), and Pro Tools via AAX.

Are refunds available?

As an instant-download digital product, refunds are not available once the download has completed. That's why we offer a free 14-day trial — try before you buy. Purchases are processed by Paddle.com, our merchant of record, and refund requests are handled in accordance with Paddle's policy.

How will the charge appear on my bank statement?

Purchases are processed by Paddle.com, our merchant of record. The charge will appear on your bank statement as PADDLE.COM, and Paddle will email you the purchase receipt.

Can I transfer my license to someone else?

The license is personal and non-transferable. If you need to transfer it under special circumstances, email us at support@mrmoustache.es.

I lost my license key — what do I do?

Click Recover license on this page and we'll resend your serials to the email you used to purchase. You can also see them in MrAppManager, under Licenses, after signing in with that email.

Will I get free updates?

Minor updates (fixes and improvements within the same major version) are free. Major versions may be a paid upgrade.

MrAppManager

MrAppManager is Mr.Moustache's app for macOS and Windows. Use it to install and update the plugins, activate your licenses and release computers you no longer use.

MrAppManager FAQs

Do I need MrAppManager to use the plugins?

No. You can install them with MrAppManager or with the installer on the Installation page, and activate them from their own interface with the serial number. MrAppManager also keeps them up to date and is the way to free up a computer you no longer have access to.

How do I install MrAppManager?

On macOS, open the .dmg and drag MrAppManager to your Applications folder; it has to be there to update itself. On Windows, run the installer and follow the steps. When you open the app, Plugins shows which plugins are installed, their version and whether updates are available.

How do I sign in and activate a plugin?

Click Sign in and enter your purchase email: we'll send you a 6-digit code that expires after 15 minutes and can only be used once. Then click Activate in Plugins; it uses one of your licenses with a free seat. In Machines you can release the seat of any computer.

I'm not getting the sign-in code

The code is only sent to the email you bought with: check your Paddle receipt and your spam folder. Resend requests a new one; each new code cancels the previous one. Mr.Warmer is free and has no license, so if that's the only plugin you have, no code is sent. If you bought with an email you no longer have access to, write to support@mrmoustache.es with your serial number.

How do I free up a computer I no longer have access to?

Sign in to MrAppManager, go to Machines and click Release on that computer. The seat is freed immediately so you can activate the plugin elsewhere, and on the released computer the plugin will deactivate the next time it checks its license with an internet connection.

MrAppManager says "No free computers"

You've used all the seats on that license. Release one from Machines, or deactivate the plugin from its own interface on the computer you no longer use, then click Activate again.

Why does MrAppManager ask for administrator permission?

The plugins are installed in the system plugin folders and the app updates itself with its own installer, so macOS asks for your password and Windows for administrator confirmation when installing, updating or uninstalling. If you cancel, nothing is changed.

I can't install or uninstall: it asks me to close the DAW

The plugin is loaded in your DAW, and MrAppManager won't replace or delete it while it's in use. Close the DAW and try again.

A plugin shows as "Not verified"

Its license or trial hasn't been verified with our server yet; this usually happens with older plugin versions. Update it to the latest version from the app and open it in your DAW with an internet connection: it verifies on its own.

Does MrAppManager work offline?

It needs a connection to sign in, install or update plugins, activate and release computers. Plugins that are already activated keep working offline in your DAW.

How do I update MrAppManager?

In Settings, click Check for updates. If there's a new version, the app downloads it, quits to install it and reopens on its own. On macOS it has to be in the Applications folder, and on Windows installed with its installer.

How long does the session last?

Thirty days on that computer. When it expires, the app lets you know and you just sign in again with a new code. You can sign out at any time with Sign out.

Which systems does MrAppManager run on?

macOS, Intel and Apple Silicon, and 64-bit Windows. On Windows it installs the VST3 and AAX formats; AU only exists on macOS.
